RadioMatic in ChatGPT, Claude and other chatbots
Updated
RadioMatic has an app for chatbots such as ChatGPT and Claude. Once you switch it on, your chatbot uses the official Buma/Stemra and Sena tariffs to work out what music in your business costs, whether you have to pay, and what the alternatives cost. The app is free, needs no account and stores no personal data.
Connect RadioMatic to your chatbot
Click your chatbot. The address goes to your clipboard and the settings open in a new tab. Add RadioMatic there, then just ask what music in your business costs.
Or ask your question straight away
Rather ask something first? These buttons open a new conversation with the question already filled in.
What can you ask the app?
Anything a business owner wants to know about music on the premises. For example "what do Buma and Sena cost for a swimming pool of 800 m²?", "can I play Spotify in my hair salon?", "do I pay Buma on top of Tunify?" or "what does music cost for 40 branches?".
The chatbot asks the follow-up questions it needs, such as the floor area or the number of staff who hear the music, and then works it out.
Which tools does it include?
**Calculate licence costs.** What Buma/Stemra and Sena cost per year for your type of business, per location and for all locations together, with the source of each tariff table.
**Check whether you need a licence.** Whether you have to pay, depending on where the music comes from (radio, Spotify, a business streaming service, a royalty-free provider or AI music) and who hears it.
**Compare options.** The yearly cost of radio, a business streaming service, a royalty-free provider and RadioMatic side by side, including the licences where they apply.
**Plans and prices.** What RadioMatic costs per location, and what each plan includes.
**Request a trial.** A link to try RadioMatic free for fourteen days, with your situation already filled in. With ten or more locations, you get the details of founder Jonathan Oudekerk and an email ready to send, for a tailored proposal.
Apart from the request, all tools only read. They place no orders and change nothing.
Where do the figures come from?
From the same tariff tables as the calculator on this site: the binding 2026 tariffs of Buma/Stemra and Sena, with the source for each table. You can also view them as a data file at radiomatic.ai/data/tarieven.json.
The amounts are base tariffs per year. Buma/Stemra charges excluding VAT, Sena is exempt from VAT and adds a surcharge of 26.6%. Registering yourself and paying on time gives up to 33.33% discount, which is not included. Always check your own invoice at mijnlicentie.nl.
How do you switch the app on?
All you need is the address: https://radiomatic.ai/mcp/. No login is needed.
**In Claude.** Go to Customize and then Connectors, click + and choose Add custom connector. Enter https://radiomatic.ai/mcp/ as the address and click Add. On a Team or Enterprise account, the owner first adds RadioMatic via Organization settings, Connectors, Add, Custom, Web. Then you click Connect under Customize, Connectors.
**In ChatGPT.** If RadioMatic is listed among the apps, switch it on there with one click. Otherwise add it through developer mode in the settings, with the same address.
**Then** just ask what you want to know. For example: "What does music cost in my hair salon with six staff, and what do I save with RadioMatic?", "Do I need a licence to play Spotify in my shop?" or "What music suits a pharmacy?"
**Together with your chatbot.** You always switch it on yourself in the settings; a chatbot cannot do that for you. But it will walk you through it step by step. Ask, for example: "Help me connect RadioMatic." After that it calculates with the rates RadioMatic uses, and sets up a trial for you with your situation already filled in.
What happens to your data?
For the calculations the app does not ask for your name, business name or contact details. What you type into the chatbot does not reach us, only the details a tool needs, such as the type of business and the floor area.
The server uses those details only to calculate the answer and does not store them. It runs in the Netherlands, on the same hosting as this site. More in our privacy statement.
Help or a question?
Email [email protected] or call +31 50 201 33 07. RadioMatic is a product of SmartLabel B.V. in Groningen, the Netherlands.
Work out what you save on your current licence.
Slide in your situation and you will see what you currently pay in music rights every year. That amount disappears, on top of what you save on your current music subscription.
Rather try it yourself straight away?
You can also try RadioMatic without a chatbot. The first fourteen days are free, and you hear back within one working day. After that your station is live in under ten minutes. What it costs after that is on the pricing page.
Read the legal reasoningWhy RadioMatic is something other than a playlist or the radio
A business owner who wants music on the premises usually picks from three things. A playlist from a streaming service, an ordinary radio station, or a royalty-free music package. This is where they differ.
| Playlist | Ordinary radio | Royalty-free | RadioMatic | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| New music | Fixed list | Yes, but not your choice | Limited catalogue | New every day |
| Music that is yours alone | No | No | No | Yes, your own hits |
| Fits the time of day | Switch it yourself | No | Switch it yourself | Automatic |
| Names your business | No | No | No | Yes |
| Your own offers | No | Only if you buy advertising | No | Yes, with no studio |
| Local news and weather | No | Yes, the station’s | No | Yes, your town, your choice of topics |
| Other people’s adverts | No | Yes | No | No |
| Buma/Stemra and Sena | Payable | Payable | See the terms | Not payable |
New music every day
The station keeps getting new tracks in the same style, because the music is generated rather than drawn from a fixed list. A track that lands well with your audience comes round more often, and then it is your hit. It was made for your station and plays nowhere else.
It names your business
Between the tracks, DJ voices announce what is going on at your place. Your offer, your opening hours, this week’s deal. That used to need a studio and a voice actor.
It moves with the day
The morning, the rush and the last hour each call for something different. That is set per part of the day and happens by itself, with nobody behind the counter picking a new list.
Local news if you want it
A short bulletin on the hour about your own town, with the weather and the traffic alongside. You choose which subjects you want, or you switch it off entirely.
No one else’s advertising
On an ordinary station the business down the road advertises in between your tracks. With us, nothing comes in between that is not yours.
Every location from one screen
Each site keeps its own mood, its own promotions and its own opening hours, and you run them all from the same place.
A playlist is worn out within two weeks, and on an ordinary station the business down the road advertises in between your tracks. With us the station is yours. Your style, your announcements, and the tracks that land with your audience come round more often.
You can also use RadioMatic directly in Claude or ChatGPT. Add a connector in your chatbot with the address https://radiomatic.ai/mcp/, in Claude via Customize and then Connectors. No login is needed. Then ask, for example: "What does music in my business cost, and what do I save with RadioMatic?" Connect RadioMatic to your chatbot
