What does Tunify cost? And why is it called Soundtrack now?

Tunify was acquired by Soundtrack Technologies on 4 February 2026 and continues under the name Soundtrack. According to their own pricing page the subscriptions cost € 24.99 to € 44.99 per zone per month. What is not included is the payment to Buma/Stemra and Sena: you have to arrange that yourself, and their site says so.

What it costs

The published tariffs

Simple costs € 24.99 per zone per month, or € 22.49 billed annually. Plus costs € 34.99 or € 32.49. Premium costs € 44.99 or € 42.49. No amount is listed for Enterprise; that is on request.

Note the word zone. A zone is one music stream within a location. If you want something different in the restaurant than on the terrace, that is two zones and you pay twice. Koninklijke Horeca Nederland lists a member price from € 28 per month with a discount of up to twenty percent.

No VAT statement accompanies the published amounts.

The levies are not included, and they say so themselves

Their pricing page states that you must obtain a public performance licence yourself from the collecting societies in your own country. For the Netherlands those are Buma/Stemra and Sena.

Koninklijke Horeca Nederland is even more explicit: members get seventeen percent off their Buma and Sena music licences, to be arranged separately alongside the subscription.

That is not a criticism. It is how the system works and they cannot change it: music by human authors carries a levy, whoever supplies the stream. But it does mean a € 24.99 subscription is in practice the first of two amounts.

What to work out before you compare

Take the subscription amount, multiply it by twelve and by the number of zones, and add the annual payment to Buma/Stemra and Sena for your sector and floor area.

Only then do you have a figure you can put next to another offer. Work out the second half below.

Where we sit differently

Our subscription is per location rather than per zone, and no levies come on top. The music is generated entirely by AI: no composer, no lyricist, no performing artist, no commercially released phonogram — so no rights holder who can collect.

Whether we work out cheaper depends on your situation. The difference is not in the price of the subscription but in that second bill, which does not exist here.
