What does Tunify (now Soundtrack) cost?

Q: What exactly is a zone?

One music stream within a location. Two rooms with different music are two zones and therefore two subscriptions. With us it is per location, whatever the number of rooms.

Q: Do I then pay Buma and Sena twice?

No, you pay them once. The point is that you pay them alongside the subscription. That second bill lands with you, not with your supplier.

The short answer According to its own pricing page, Tunify costs from € 269.88 per zone a year, billed annually. Soundtrack Technologies bought Tunify on 4 February 2026, and it now carries on under the name Soundtrack.

What comes on top The fees for Buma/Stemra and Sena are not in that price. You arrange those yourself, and Tunify's own site says so. What that comes to for your business, you work out below.

You are moved to Soundtrack at your renewal

Tunify is continuing as Soundtrack. According to Tunify itself customers are moved over in phases, around their next renewal, and you get an email about it well in advance. Your Tunify playlists do not move across automatically. For that you contact them yourself.

With Soundtrack you pay per zone, and the Buma/Stemra and Sena levy still comes on top. That email is a good moment to compare. With RadioMatic you pay per location and nothing to Buma/Stemra or Sena, because the music is made with AI. We handle the switch. What does Tunify cost per zone?

Simple, the cheapest package, costs € 269.88 per zone a year, billed annually. Plus and Premium cost more, and Enterprise is on request. No VAT statement accompanies the amounts.

Note the word zone. A zone is one music stream within a location. If you want something different in the restaurant than on the terrace, that is two zones and you pay twice. If you are a member of Koninklijke Horeca Nederland (the Dutch hospitality association), you get a member discount on the subscription.

Are Buma and Sena included in the Tunify price?

No. The pricing page states that you obtain a public performance licence yourself from the collecting societies in your own country. For the Netherlands those are Buma/Stemra and Sena.

Koninklijke Horeca Nederland is even clearer about it. Members get seventeen percent off their Buma and Sena music licences. They arrange those separately, alongside the subscription.

That is not down to Tunify. Music by human authors carries a levy, whoever supplies the stream. For you it does mean that the subscription is in practice the first of two amounts.

How do you work out what Tunify costs you per year?

Take the annual amount and multiply it by the number of zones. Then add the annual payment to Buma/Stemra and Sena for your sector and floor area.

Only then do you have a figure you can put next to another offer. Work out the second half at the top. The tables by sector are on what a music licence costs.

What RadioMatic does differently

With RadioMatic you pay per location, whatever the number of rooms. If you want something different on the terrace than inside, it is still one subscription. The music is generated entirely by AI. There is no composer, no lyricist and no performing artist. Buma/Stemra itself states that works made entirely by AI do not qualify for copyright or payment. The same applies to Sena. Sena can only collect for a recording that has been commercially released, and on that ground Sena lost in court in 2025. The full reasoning is in our legal memorandum.

An example for a shop up to 100 m² with one zone, billed annually. On top of the Tunify Simple subscription you pay € 466 a year to Buma/Stemra and Sena. RadioMatic Starter costs € 29.99 a month, with nothing on top. So the biggest difference is in that second bill.

It is now. Soundtrack Technologies, formerly Soundtrack Your Brand, acquired Tunify and the UK’s Ambie on 4 February 2026. Tunify continues under the Soundtrack name. Customers move over in phases, around the date their subscription renews.
